Cant believe people missing out on an amazing show they keep adding to the story which makes it more clear why everyone was acting the way they were.

im starting to hate satoko

she does this to rika instead of feeling the pain of her best friend after finding out the truth of what she went through

Remember how Eua and Satoko had that discussion about mental damage persisting throughout each loop if the loopers memories are allowed to remain intact? Satoko's plan is to use that to win against Rika who also has the ability to loop, but what Satoko doesn't realize is that she is also suffering from mental damage. You might recall the incident where Rika found the perfect shard hidden in the shrine. Rena later explains to Rika that Rika had been living as though she were above all the people that could not perceive time and loops, which would make her something much more than a human. Satoko's mental damage from St. Lucia was combined with her new loop powers and gave her this twisted god complex. In essence, she's become the true villain of this series, and Rika, the protagonist, has the same powers and played a large role in creating her. The way I see it, this is becoming a full-blown time war. I like this turn of events. I think the best villains aren't the ones that exist from the beginning, but are a result of the protagonists actions, share some of their abilities, and/or are directly opposed to the protagonist but are not necessarily evil. Satoko's annoyed because she feels she's "above" those who can't perceive time since they'll all be reset when she loops again. Her powers are desensitizing her to death.

Rika be like : Why u ruined my life???
Satoko : Why u leave me Rika?? Why?

AGREED

Freddy D. • 2 years ago

urrgh this series is like playing a rogue like game where u get constantly reset to the beginning whenever u die.

So now we know why the timelines were so wildly different. Sometimes it's Rena going crazy, then Keichi, then Mion, then Oishi. I already thought it was weird why it was never the same person going crazy, but it's Satoko injecting someone else every time.

But if you remember Season 1, this was already the case back then. So Satoko has been looping since Season 1 already?? That means that, to get to the point where Satoko feels betrayed by Rika at the academy and acquires looping powers, Rika would first need to reach a world where they catch Takano Miyo. But if Satoko was looping in Season 1, then that means we never actually saw Rika working her way through each world to catch Takano, that already happened before season 1.

Nah, we saw that Satoko doesn't start looping until after the the Rika finally succeeds in escaping her circumstances back in season 2. People going crazy in the first two seasons just succumbed to Himiazawa syndrome, something that has been occurring to the villagers for generations at this point. It's only in the previous season where, instead of people going crazy based on random chance each time the loops reset, Satoko is forcing someone to go crazy with that injection.

Zyzy_v • 2 years ago

Sooo she never escaped?

SarenAreth • 2 years ago

I was kinda confused by this. In season 1, first it was Rena and Keichi that went crazy, then it was Mion, then Keichi again when he slaughtered Satoko's uncle, then later on Rena again when she hijacked the school. If NOTHING changes, then there's no reason for the timeline to change, we should see the exact same thing again.

So I was thinking that Satoko must've also been the one injecting people in Season 1. But that wouldn't make sense, because Satoko got her repeat powers after Riku defeated Miyo. So now that I think about it, maybe back then (Season 1 and 2 it was Riku trying to save the day in different kinds of ways that caused changes in who Miyo and her henchmen were injecting with the disease. I guess that would make the most sense, but it's not clear.

I'm pretty sure they gave us subtle hints during the last season to satoko being a looper but I'm too lazy to look through it again

Oh man, my hate for Satoko is bubbling over. I lowkey hope she dies in despair

WHY NO COMMENTS HERE?

Meroko Yui • 2 years ago

Been writing back and forth with someone on an old post. Unsure why there's none. This version of Gogo might have had a wipe on it's comments. There might be comments on other versions of Gogo.
